During the Dutch Day at Intertraffic Amsterdam, a consortium comprising the City of Helmond, Gazelle, SpectrumFiftyNine, SmartWayz, and SWARCO ITS announced a new CCAM (Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility) initiative: Living Lab in the City of Helmond.
A central component are the so called variable message signs, which enable flexible, electronically controlled speed limits or informational text messages. Following an EU-wide tender, SWARCO FUTURIT was recently awarded the contract by ASFINAG for the delivery and servicing of these displays.
Welcome to the new platform of the world's finest Intelligent Transportation Systems! The ITS industry constantly evolves, and so do we. Today, we are launching a new website and LinkedIn page for the SWARCO Intelligent Transportation Systems division. Fresh, simple, and designed to make it easier than ever to explore who we are and what we do.
The consortium of companies SWARCO CONNECT (SWARCO Group) and INEO INFRACOM (EQUANS Group) has won the contract for the deployment of Vehicle On Board Units for the intervention and maintenance fleet of the French Ministry of Transport (DGITM).
For more than twenty years, traffic control has evolved in small, incremental steps. Controllers became faster. Software became smarter. Networks became larger. But the junction itself stayed static. A collection of parts. A box at the roadside. SWARCO PTC3 changes that.
